can you believe i got a blister after nearly two years?!

i can't believe it, the skin on my fingers is dead as can be, or so i thought. yesterday i got a blister after practicing some popping, can you believe that?! After nearly two years of playing!!

anyone experienced anything like this before?

I believe it. Some days I can play all I like, as hard as I like, and on others my fingers are a bunch of little punks. I never know what to expect.

I've been playing 17 years, but still manage to get blisters from time to time. It's usually when I've had flatwounds on my bass for a while and switch to rounds.
