I'm not shure if this matters, but what angle would you keep your fingers in when you´re tapping with your right hand? Pic 1 or pic 2? Is there a wrong and right?

You'll probably have people tell you do which ever you prefer, but the second picture, in my experience, yields better results.

When I was around 11-12 and learning violin (my first instrument) my teacher called that type of joint bending "knuckle buckle." Every since, I have considered it poor technique.

Make sure you dont do that with your left hand either.

Picture 2 is the right way I believe.

BTW, string action looks a little high for tapping. I would lower it a bit if you can get away with it.

Pic 2. In general when playing *any* instrument, you should keep your fingers curved. Don't stress the joints; let the muscles do the work.

Cheers for all the replies! I'll have a go at the bridge to lower the strings then! (My new MM Sabre -79!)
