And now to seriously answer your question, I use the orange Dunlop tortex pics. I believe they're .66 mm thickness.

a lot of pick bass players seem to like thinner picks, i guess because the give serves to "compress" the attack a little, evening out the note-to-note volume.

i hate that, and gotta have stiff picks (at least as strong as a fender heavy); i'll control my own dynamics, thank you very much.

Dunlop Nylon 60s with the grip. I like the flexibility and it lets me play faster and more complicated stuff. Plus the string to string volume is pretty good as well.
