I used to know most of it. I havent been slapping for along time jsut because the stuff Im doing doesnt call for it. Its not to tricky if you can double thump.

i can play parts of it... with a bow on upright bass. wooten plays it wicked fast though and embelishes, so it doesnt really sound like what he plays, but when you can recognize the parts of the original if you know it. (prelude bach cello suite no. 1)

I think you're a little confused,

Those aren't the same song. Look at the music to both of them if necessary

i can play the beginning, which is really nothing to brag about, probably a million people can....i should really work on learning more. i can play up to about probably 35 seconds in the song.

go to youtube and search scott mulvahill...some rediculously sick kid probably like 18 or so, plays the whole song....its nuts

i know theyre not the same, to me anyway i always thought that classical thum was based on this. you can pick out the parts of the original in classical thump, or maybe im just on crack, i know its not the same exact song.

if you can properaly double thump you can learn the song. i can go for about 40 seconds if i just do open hammers, instead of the triplets.

and speaking of that scott mulvahill kid. jeez man, he's insane. is he a talkbass member?
