clicking sound from playing with a 5 string

I recently recorded some demos with my band, and i noticed on the final thing that there was clicking as i played the E string

i think it is because i pluck very hard and my finger then taps the B string forcing it to tap the pickup causing that clicky noise.

would the only way to prevent this is to play softer or use a 4 string? because plucking hard is just how i play so itd be difficult to get used to plucking lightly

If B taps the pickup just lower the pickup on the B side.
You can also use B string as a thumbrest while not plucking it. It prevents the B string from clicking and mutes it as well.
