COFFEE SHOP, Is it slap or not?

On the Red Hot Chili Peppers song Coffee Shop [from One Hot Minute], are the bass solos both slapping?it's driving me nuts as what to which it is,i think the first one's slapping, but not sure about the second one...

I believe it's slapping with an envelope filter.

Yes the first one is slapping with auto wah, and the second one is not slapping, al though when it goes high it sounds like he is poping the notes for a short time, well i do any way to get that extra byte, but all the rest is finger, very kool solo and fun to play

The first sounds like mostly slapping to me. Its hard to tell with the envelope filter. The second part deffinetly isn't. He uses the Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron or Q-Tron+ i forget.
