I was just wondering what position you guys play the opening riff in?

Between the 5th and 8th frets always seemed best for me.

I also play it in that area. I tried playing it lower on the neck in response to this question, but it's not convenient for the later section.

I play it with my third finger on the 5th fret, irst finger on the 3rd fret etc

I have found two different transcriptions of this tune floating around, one with alot of ghost notes and one with fewer/none. I play the one with the ghost notes but none in the opening riff.
