I have kind of developed my own style where you write riffs by slapping the note on whatever is your bottom string and finger picking octaves on the other 3 or 4 strings. It can get pretty hectic.

Example...

--------------------------------
-22222222-44444444-33333333-----
--------------------------------
-0--------2--------1------------

It's kinda hard to explain, but do you understand what I mean?

--------------------------------
-22222222-44444444-33333333-----
--------------------------------
-0---0----2---2----1---1--------

(I play it like that at faster parts of the piece)

Okay that didn't come out right due to the font. Copy it into notepad and you'll see what I mean.

Neat. What do you brace your hand on during the fingerpicking parts?
