Are there any other bassists that use his "upright bass" style of playing electric? What are the benefits/detriments of playing it vertical as opposed to horizontal? Any Tips from those who use it? Do any of you use it ? why?

Heres a link to a pic I found on flickr

Well double bass players don't suffer as much from the multiple aches and pains (painful wrists, etc) that electric bassists suffer from because the playing position is more natural and relaxed on an upright fingerboard - so I assume this instrument has all those benefits.

I like it, I wonder whats holding up his bass. I have tried playing like this just fooling around and liked it but I dont know how to keep the bass in place. Sort of like the poor mans Barker
