Double stops! I need help!

Their is this old man that plays at this other church who throws double stops in as fills and at the end of songs but he's always out the door before I can talk to him.

How do you do double stops that sound bluesy or funky? Can someone help?

Double stop him at the door and say, "show me your funky chops, man".

Play the third and flat seven of the dominant chord.

I didn't mean old man in a derrogatory way, he was at least 65, but he plays with so much feeling, like he was squeezing the funk out of that bass, making faces and everything.
