Just try to work it into your playing and you'll get it. That's what worked for me

When you play finger style, are you just as fast with one finger as two? It's basically the same thing. Just strumming perpendicular to the body instead of parallel to it.

I alternate my pop fingers from index to middle. It seems to add some speed.
