| Doug's playing more than one harmonic at a time simultaneously, producing chords. Most of the time, there are only two notes being played together in Doug's piece, so they'd be called dyads in some circles.
As an example, you can barre your pinky lightly over the D and G string frets, but not hard enough to force them down to the fret wire. Then, pluck the D and G strings together, using the index and middle fingers.
This piece is similar to the Jaco Pastorius tune "Portrait of Tracy", which is a standard showcase of harmonics on solo bass.
