I like Drop D. It works well for some songs in the keys of D and G, so I use it. But there is even a song in the key of E I use it on.

Drop tuning are nice. I do like the power i get from the open A (AEADG right now).

I have been thinking of tuning ADADG just so that i can skip up or down an octave easier.

I used to do that. Quite a lot of fun. Octave chords in every second riff up and down the neck!
