Ear Trainer for iPhone

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!

I have created an application for Ear Training that runs on iPhone and iPad. I would like to hear opinions on how I could improve it for bass players.

The app can be purchased from the App Store for $6.99. There is no demo version but there is a youtube clip demonstration.

The link is: http://www.dev4phone.com/eartrainer.html
YouTube clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cGXZzb_M4g

I can't give you any opinions because it costs $7 and you have no demo.

I should have mentioned that there's no demo. Sorry about that. I have edited my post to clarify this.

I bought the app a while back, but haven't used it for a long time. So, if you've made these updates, please disregard.

Is there a way to link it to the iPhone's iTunes app so the songs don't have to be downloaded separately?

If not, is there a way to make playlists & save the settings for each song? That way, if you're practicing a "set" of music, each time you get to a certain song, it is tuned and the tempo is the same as before.

Also, if there were a way to save repeat settings--say I have a hard passage in a song and on occasion when I get to that song, I will want to repeat the passage a few times a little slower without having to recreate that setting.

On my PC, to accomplish these goals I usually just fire up Winamp with the plugin "Pacemaker" and there's another plugin that lets you repeat sections of songs (you choose start/end and whether or not it repeats). I can't remember what plugin #2 is called, but I'll put it in here later.

Korngold, it doesn't sound like you are using Ear Trainer. Perhaps there is an app with a similar sounding name?
