'Enhanced' bass players?

Sign in to disble this ad
Any bass players who also play finger style guitar – my nails are constantly getting thrashed.

I’m considering having artificial nails done and I like to hear from bass players who use falsies on they fingies. Does anyone on here use artificial nails? Are there specific brands? How do you talk to people who do nails? Specific lengths?

I expect to play bass with the finger tips and use nails for guitar. I'm just looking for something that won't affect my finger style technique adversely, is durable to withstand occasional contact with a bass string and won't make me look like a big sissy.

I clip my nails short all the time. I hate the sound of my nails when I`m playing. However I have heard of fingerstyle guitar players doing this.
