Ever since I started playing fretless, I can't get clean sound from fretted any more.

Anybody else like this?
I play fretless almost exclusively, unless playing slappy funk, but when I try to play "regular" stuff on fretted bass (fingers) I get really bad sound (bad for me)

If you can describe, as specifically as possible, what constitutes your "really bad sound," we'll be in a better position to make suggestions.

Two common problems are fret buzz when switching from fretless to fretted, and playing "flat" when moving from fretted to fretless. Both relate to the placement and pressure of the fingers on your fretting hand.

Nope. Not me.

when you learn to play a fretless you must play on the lines (lined fretless) or you are out of tune. When most folks play fretted basses they will play in the middle, or anywhere but on the fret marker, of the fret. It is hard, so I have found, to get a good, non buzzy sound, at first, when playing on the fret bar line.

The tuning on a fretless nearly killed me...but I didn't give up.

By bad I do mean buzzy frets, and whatnot.
