Favorite Finger Patterns for 3+ Fingers

I've been using 3 fingers for almost as long as I've been playing bass (15+ years) and continue to explore the options available. I try to seamlessly incorporate my thumb too, but that's another topic.

I've found I really like doing 16th note triplets or patterns of 6 like this these days:

M-I R-M I-M

I found it's easy if you are jumping down strings and just played by itself seems a little more solid (more like how a drummer would double bass it) than R-M-I.

Anyone have other odd patterns that they've come to like?

I have always used 3 fingers and it just happens.....your fingers know what they are doing. Concentrate on your fretting hand and your plucking fingers are in auto pilot
