Level 42's "Mr. Pink" and most Stu Hamm's solo tapping pieces like his version of "Linus And Lucy", "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "Flow My Tears". His "Country Music (A Night In Hell)" features both techniques. I love that tune in his original (studio) version.

I would have to say that a couple of my favs are "The Awakening" Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel, "Power" Marcus Miller, and The Rippingtons have a cool slap line in the song "St. Tropez" and "Highroller"

I don't play much tap at all. The only tap song I play really is Mr. Knowitall by Primus, and that's simple.

Slap:

RHCP - Aeroplane
Primus - Frizzle Fry, My Name is Mud
Jane's Addiction - No One's Leaving
