Finger strength/accuracy for tapping

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I've been playing for a few years now and I dabble in tapping every once in a while, but when I try to play songs like "linus and lucy", as done by Stu Hamm, my pinky has a hard time playing a nice solid note. I also have trouples playing a nice solid note and keeping it accurate with me ring finger on my right hand. Does anyone have any exercises that I can do to improve the strength and accuracy on these finger?

I personally don't use my pinkies at all when I do tapping unless I'm playing chords - it just doesn't feel comfortable to me. other than that, just keep playing the song over and over and eventually your muscles will adapt. I doubt there's any other exercise that can simulate that

im in a similar situation, except im probably worse at tapping. honestly, as mentioned in the last post, i cant see any really fun exercises for that. seriously, just hammer on pull off until you get tired or bored. i never learned to tap early on and now regret it. oh well.
