Fingerings for Major Modes

Well, I've always hated "shredders," the people who would just sit in their bedroom running through scales as fast as they can until that's all they can do. Producing flurries of notes that frankly don't sound like music to me. So, that never became a big part of my practicing routine.

I take it back, it was never part of my practicing routine: But I want to start.

I've been watching Bunny Brunell's videos on youtube. They are very informative, but I'd like something I can work my way through.

This video for example: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=7wzb56tQajU

Hand positions/fingerings while running through the modes. Are there any charts (free? online?) that essentially show what this video is showing. I know I could spend more time with this video, but I'd prefer something I can look at and go my own pace.

Really basic stuff I should have been practicing from day one, but I wanted to learn Marilyn Manson basslines

Sorry, I'm not sure what I want. I should specify that I play a 4 string, but other than that I would just like to have an engrained sense of the modes over the entire neck.

After Wikipedia-ing Simandl, I guess I want the Finger per Fret method. As shown in Bunny's vid, while his hand is in the first position, he not only has access to C-Ionian, but also D Dorian and G Mixolydian, which I know to be variants on the C Ionian. I've always heard that the way fretless players know where they are is by hand position on the neck. I'd like to know the most efficient way to practice modes.
