You're learning to play this on bass? I have to ask you 2 things:
1-Is there a good tab of it anywhere?
2-Can you post a recording of it when you finish?
I would love to hear this on a bass. I've heard Petrucci play it on guitar, but a bass would be better(dduuuuuuhhh)

Be sure to warm up fully beforehand.
And be sure to post a soundclip |

| | | Wow!! I'm surpirised this has induced so much attention.
Yes I'm playing it slow first.
As for tabs...[drumroll] I'm using sheet music-albeit its up 2 or 3 octaves I will post a clip once its perfected
I'll probably go into guitar center to make some guitarists soon after
on a side note my band and will also be covering
"The Sorcerer's Aprentice" and "A Night on Bald Mountain"

| | | | yes... there IS a bass recording of flight of the bumblebee. It´s an adaptation to bass called Sting of the Bumblebee done by joey dimaio of the band manowar. It´s rather sloppy (counting he does it with a pick) and he uses distortion, but it´s fun to listen to (not a fan of the rest of the band´s material, tho).
I don´t have any links, but it´s a fairly recognized tune among metal enthusiasts. Download it. It´s good. |

Ooops - it's the same as posted above in # 7. My bad.
