Fretboard Hand Slap

Sign in to disble this ad
I was looking at the transcription for the song Stomp by The Brothers Johnson. In the bass solo section, its says to use a Fretboard hand slap. I've heard of this, but I've never really seen it done. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Joe

Usually I do it like this:

Slap all strings with your straightened left-hand fingers (at least two to avoid harmonics). Keep the fingers a little curved in order to hit all strings simultaneously.

Hope it helps.
