Anyone know some good interesting pick bassists who I should listen to?
Besides Chris Squire? |

Alan Gorrie (Average White Band, real funky way to play).
John Taylor (Duran Duran, used a pick on a lot of stuff; also quite funky).
In fact, all three examples have a funky approach with a pick.

Another pick player that I enjoy so much listening is Pat Badger from Extreme.
The guy playing bass in this clip gets a lot of bashing here, but he created very cool music with interesting basslines. |
