this is relevant to my interests

If someone asks me if I can play bass and I need to impress them I kinda just slap and pop on the blues scale, but I may need better ideas

Money by Pink Floyd, everyone recognizes it. The timing sounds trickier than it is.

What do you mean by simple exactly?

Easy to play, or just not a whole lot of notes?

Theme from Barney Miller. ...anyone older than 35 will probably recognize it instantly, and anyone younger than 35 will probably sample it, talk all over it with some ridiculous street slang, and release it as a single...

Really great one, "Serving Time in the Middle of Nowhere"- Eyehategod. yes they are a Sludge metal band but damn that bassline is grooven. its about half way through the song. The bass plays it for a couple times then the guitar comes in. Really groovy.
