The guy that got me going was Stu Hamm.
He has some decent videos out on how to.

I use all my fingers to tap and try a number of scales and patterns.

Try some things you have played with fingers(like chords), just with the right hand.

It'll take awhile to get them good, speed etc, but just keep tapping away.

He has 3 main songs that are really good for tapping:
The first song on Radio Free(speed and pinky work), Linus and Lucy theme song(gets your brain hands independent of the other) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LSwiMapeFs

Nice slow melodic.

Here's the others:

I think if you simply tap the chords, the scales, you will figure a lot out.

I found tapping the root + the 5th with my left hand and then a the octave and the 5th on the lower string works well.

So

-----------*-----@-----
---------*-------@-----

Hit the *'s with your left hand using the index and ring finger and then the @'s with the index and then middle finger of the right hand.

No open strings, repeat, move this around and follow some scales with it. Try it on all the strings up and down the neck.

Slow, then build the speed.

Then you can add the pinky and work some more in and then the ring finger etc.

It takes awhile but the nice bell like sound is addictive.
Some dudes and gals are awesome at this method.

Hope this helps, I tried to looking for some simpler stuff, but not much is out there, so perhaps someone else can help.

Tom
