Goofing around with "What I Got"

I've got a cheap 4-string Ibby with a single precision-style pup, and was messing around with Sublime's "What I Got" the other day. I found that it's actually kind of interesting and fun to play the main bassline by plucking the strings at the fretboard around the 13th fret, then playing the "I can play the guitar like a mother father riot" solo by plucking the strings right at the bridge.

I know this is basic knowledge, but plucking on the fretboard really gets a nice warm almost-dub-style bass sound while the bridge plucking gets a cool tinny sound for the solo. Anyways, I had some fun with that and figured I'd share.
