Howdy, I have just started to really increase my speed picking chops.Only i am experiencing pain in the very middle of the inside of my elbow.

I am thinking it is just my arm working its way up to speed.

Am I mistaken???????????

the pain in your elbow is muscle-pain.
practice more, and increase speed little by little..
or buy some weights and do some workout.. build muscle..

You could be mistaken, too.

When it comes to speed, our natural tendency seems to be to flex our muscles more and make them tenser.....uh-uh, stay loose and relaxed as possible. Breath deeply and try to play with fluidity. That's how the real burners make hot licks look so easy, besides using as much economy of motion as possible.

What rickbass1 said.

And when the pains persists, go see a doctor or chiropractor.

He just did and IMO Rick is correct, growing pains usuall extend fron expasion and shifting of the epiphiseal plate(most commonly in the knees) in adolescent teens. The elbow has very few muscles, mostly tendons and ligaments. I think what you are experiencing my be a prelude to tendonitis. As Rick said relax and think economy of motion. When you feel pain...stop what you are doing, your body is telling you that you are doing something wrong. Listen to it, it will pay off in the long run.
