So, Diet Mountain Dew would save this situation for me? Actually what I have seemed to have found is that B-6 helps alot. Nothing proven, but that is what I have been reading.

well caffeine does dehydrate you, so that makes you loose important minerals in your bloodstreem. so you should drink something like gaterade or powerade and a cup of coffee if you still want the caffeine.

ps the sweetener in diet soft drinks (aspertain) is known to cause cancer in some lab mice

So, what I am seeing is that by keeping my elbow out even just a little, that should help my wrist position. I did notice last night that I tend to rest my forarm on my bass. Keeping well hydrated should be of help too. And I should cut out alot of my sugar intake (Mountain Dew)

Well another 4 hour set last night. Just for the record, we are a Jam Band. In 4 hours we play about 26 songs in all. We have a lot on interludes and musical diversions. With 3 guitarists and 2 drummers, I am really active in how and what I play. Last night while on stage, I was trying out all of the great suggestions from this thread. The one suggestion I did not get??? Reposition the bass body forwarda couple of inches. Coupled with keeping my elbow out just a little, keeping my forarm from resting on the bass and moving the bass body more onto my own body actually worked. I played the whole night with only some stress to my hand. I think that is because my arm has gotten used to the "bad" way I had my wrist positioned. We have the holidays off so I can rest it and get some practice with the bass in a more correct position!

I hope someone there took a couple of Pic's. I know we had a video crew there. 3 camera's and 4 people running all over the place. What was funny is there were so many people in the place, none of the camera people could get to each other. It will be interesting to see how the video(s) turned out.
