yeah, when I wrote that I meant the old underoath proabbyl should of specified and the bass players sound on from first to last's last album is the exactly the tone I want. Researched it later and found out that Wes Borland from Jimp Bizciut stood in on bass for the album. (I am not a fan of nu-metal at all but I really would like to find what he uses to get his tone)

Pickups are ONLY active if they are EMGs. a little known fact. emg is the only company that makes active pickups. "But i have bartolini active elecrtonics" you say, that is because all other companies have an active pre-amp. the actual pickups are not active unless they are emgs

crank the gain
pick style or finger it doesnt matter.


its all about learning left hand mutes. they help a lot when trying to get things tight.
