Help concerning limited mobility in left forearm

Ok. If I were to be standing in front of you with my arms against my sides, but bent at the elbow (as if I were holding a try in front of me), I can't make my left hand parallel to the ground them my palm is up. (Rotate your hand between palm up and palm down) At best, I can get it so there is a slightly pronounced slant (where my palm face more toward my body than straight up). This affects how I grab the neck of the bass, so where should I have the bass ride to make it easier and less stressful on that wrist? Does anyone elso not have full rotational mobility? How do you get around it?

I am with each passing day losing more and more of my mobility to Psoriatic Athritis. My right wrist now has only about 3 degrees of movement, and my arm only about 30 degrees of rotation. I am developing new ways to play with each passing day. More and more I find myself using the Ox's typewriter style. It's a learning experience...

What is the Ox's typewriter system?
