Help with an exercise fingering...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys...I've been playing through "Finger Funk Workbook Vol. 1" by Anthony Vitti in a lame attempt to improve my technique and I'm stuck on exercise 26. Mr. Vitti's newer books have fingerings, but this one doesn't and I'm at a loss to figure out how to right hand pluck the second to last measure....I'm guessing for the left hand that the A is open and G, C are 1,2 and the D 4, but I'd appreciate help with that too.

I've gotten some really good advice on TB previously, so I'm hoping you can straighten me out here.

I'd lay my first finger across, and use my middle finger for the D on the high part.

I'm guessing its a rake on the high notes for the right hand.

alternating index middle.

Wow. My brain can't even comprehend that notation.

Thanks, Lovely, but I tried that already : (.
After I little practice, it's not too hard...I don't know why I didn't think of playing it as a rake rather than trying to pluck each note individually.

Because for some reason, "Raking is bad".
