How do I get this sound?

There's something about that sound that I truly adore.
I am guessing it's got something to do the bass hardware/settings itself not some effects or pedals.

So I hope my first post is in the right forum

I use a Ibanez GSR200EX by the way. Great first bass I'd say.

scoop the mids, boost the highs and lows. If you have a pickup selector on your bass go for both pickups. Use a pick.
