how do you do that funny bit in...

lovecats. by the cure

i think its after the second chours theres like a bend and dive and it happens a few times. it sounds cool but i dont know a how to do it or b what notes to play.

can anyone help?

That's a double bass on that song. The bassist is just sliding around a bit there. You'd need a fretless bass to do that, but it still wouldn't get the thump that the double bass has.
