How does Jaco gets that sound in the song "Continuum"?

I dont know where this forum should go here, strings or effects..but if someone knows where it should go or what he uses or does to get this sound..please let me know.

The story is that he double-tracked in the studio - i.e. played exactly the same thing twice and reportedly finished it in two takes!!

Yea, that's what I've heard too. Produces something of a natural chorus effect.
