How to Learn Turn-Arounds?

Sign in to disble this ad
Do you have any suggestions on how to learn turn-arounds on a bass guitar? I've been playing classical upright bass for some time, but lately have been playing bass guitar more at church because of problems I have with arthritic joints. The one thing I never figured out how to do is turn around, those neat little licks at the end of phrases I hear in pop pieces, etc. Any suggestions on how to learn how to do them? Many thanks and Happy Holidays! Brian

I'm not an educator by any means, but a "turnaround" is simply a set of chords that harmonically lead you back to the top of a tune (or to another section).
