As a joke for my kids, who love watching AI, I'd like to get this DVD: http://cgi.ebay.com/RANDY-JACKSON-MA...QQcmdZViewItem
I know RJ is an awesome bassist, on top of being that idiotic judge on that stupid TV show (I guess the pay is not idiotic), but is that DVD any good?
Just wondering.
I love the Grace Jones hairdo, by the way.

He was in Journey on the Raised on Radio album, and the tour. He's played on a lot of pop stuff, like some of Madonna's Like a Prayer. He's done a bunch of other stuff, not sure of all of it.

I was wondering about his DVD...
Edit: oops sorry I did not see you were answering someone else.

In my favorite part he addresses playing with drummers who tend to play ahead of ar behind the beat. "Let's say you're playing with a drummer and he's been doin'.... let's just say he's playing ahead of the beat." |

I suppose his AI popularity is helping.
Yeah, he sure can play the bass. Also it seems his weird antics were part of a package people liked about him, but he just doesn't know when to stop.
On a side note: I watched a little bit of American Idol and there is absolutely not one really good singer in that bunch. Do they purposely select mediocre singers???

| | | | Wow. All of a sudden I like Randy Jackson. LOL.
The more I think about it the more he does seem like a bassist. Surprised I never made that connection before. |

I can't quite put my finger on what it was (besides Ross not playing), but it just doesn't sound right.
I do like his "good cop" role on AI though. |
