Basics

The two main attacks used in slap are the thumb thump.
Basicly take your thumb and slap the string. When using the thumb to slap be sure you are hitting the string against the neck. With you left hand you play a note or mute or play an open string. The looser your wrist the better.

With your plucking fingers you pop the string by hooking your finger around it and pulling up and lift the string up the sound is created when you let go and the string pops against the neck.

try a basic root octive slap. Thumb the lower note pop the octive. AND LISTEN!!! Flea, Vic Wooten, there are many masters out there.
