I'm going to turn this around here. The advice I and a lot of other people will give you is pretty obvious and a lot of us say it over and over again, so I am going to ask you. What do you think you could do to improve this situation?

pinky

hi Delgado91, I've been playing for 1 1/2 and i had the same problem as you(the pinky stuff). To improve my left hand technique i practiced some exercises like : Index > pinky through all the strings up and down, then Middle pinky, ring pinky and then backwards

Practice ...

Practice with a band ...

Practice on your own ...

Work at it every day ...

get a few bass instructional videos and study them ...

There are no short cuts to getting good on bass.

play one finger per fret on the first position - index playing the first fret, middle playing second and so on
0-open string
1-index
2-middle
3-ring
4-pinky

now play

0-4-1-4-2-4-3-4 on the E string (dont lift off 1,2,3 after you played them)
now repeat it on all strings down and up

There's a difference... your sentences aren't fragmented.

Maybe you should consider some lessons, just to get your technique together. You might want to continue after that, but it's a smart way to start. Where do you live?

Did you consider that not everyone that uses Talkbass has English as their primary language? Thanks, Mr Talkliteracy.com
