I can do a one fret slide with my index and middle but thats and that doesn work with that bassline im tryin to do

To clarify things, could you tell us which fingers you'd use for this riff on what frets?

The way you describe it, I'd use index and ring finger for the pull-off, then slide with the index finger to the 12th... didn't get what you do after that. How does your fingering look like at that part?

Sounds to me as if you want to slide to the 13th then, which would be totally possible with the index.

If we're talking about higher frets, gotta tell us what you're talking about.

I go out on a limb and say practice makes perfect, it'll come with time. By the way, I have more trouble sliding with my index than with my pinky, haha.

What he said. When I was visualizing what you're describing, I saw it exactly the same way. Ring finger on 9, pull-off to index finger on 7 and slide the index finger up to 12.

Are you hammering on with the pinky at 10 or 11 and THEN sliding up to 12?

Are you left handed and have your strings slung like Haslip or Horne?

Not to split hairs, but on a fretted bass, a 1 fret slide is pretty much a hammer on or pull off since the note heard is based on the position of the fret wire, not your finger. Maybe try that instead? It may work.
