If "real" bass players play with fingers do....

Sign in to disble this ad
"Real" gui**r players play with their fingers? The earliest of players played with their fingers, so if you are to tell me that real bass players play with fingers, then is Omar Rodriguez Lopez or Robert Fripp a real gui**r player for playing with a pick?

Sorry for going into gui**r territory

Some electric rock and roll guitars DO use their fingers to pick...

But what's your point?

Let me guess: the general prejudice against bassist that play with picks is bad. Am I right?

I don't think there is a point at all. It's just another one of those threads.

I think his point is, if guitards are cool with using picks, why shouldn't it be the case with bassists.

old stuff.

though, that argument is unfounded as well. waay waay back in the times, before bowed instruments were around, guitar like instruments were used with picks. in that regard, real bassists don't use their fingers, they use their bows.

So that explains things. I always thought all those guitarist I used to see on MTV were eight feet tall.

Always wondered how all of them were that tall.

If "real" annoying kids post the same threads over and over, do "real" annoying adults also post the same threads over and over?

Yeah, I think I saw a similar thread a few months ago by the same guy. Nobody worth caring about cares about whether you use a pick or fingers or a bow or whatever.
