Talking about Sultans Of Swing here and I've got a question.

There seems to be a 'gallop' or fast 'roll' while the bass is thumping the intro - well, pretty much all the way through the song.

I use an Db/D rock with a 32nd C as the segue onto the D. I've watched the videos and think I've got it pretty much nailed spot-on, but I'm just wondering if I'm missing something that's not obvious in the videos.

I've tried plugging 2nds into it and they sound good if used sparsely though.

Kinda wot I think. What I dislike about that song is that Knopfler changes his part all the time according to how he feels I guess. Such is stardom - he can noodle all over the boards and get away with it.
