Inputs & Advice on my solo.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys. Just did this yesterday, basically out of nowhere. Kinda funny because I havn't been playing bass for a week when this was recorded, some crazy runs & ideas that just came out of nowhere. I just need some input & advice, any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

only negative comment i have is it sounds like you took a week off in a couple short spots. other than that, it's pretty darn killer.

You have a very nice touch and sound. Yeah, this is pretty much a screwing around kind of solo.

May I never hear slap in E again. Sorry, I am SO tired of that.

You sound way too much like a bass guitarist in your soloing, try listening to more jazz pianists or guitarists.

I really liked the last part before the slapping (< 1:00).
I don't like slapping, but that's just a personal thing, so the second half is not for me.
super sound! was it live?

It was, live. Recorded with ZOOM Q3. Wasn't direct.

Thanks though, I got another if you want it, the fingerstyle part.

Same here. I always try play slap in closed positions to add spice to it.
