I need to de able to sing and play sweet bass parts for my band, kinda like Les Claypool or whoever...
Thing is I can barely play anything remotely complex without singing let alone easy stuff while singing.
Do any of you guys have good tips for learning how to play and sing at the same time?
If you do please post them because I really want to get my band off the ground.

Sorry if I sound like super noob, and Thanks for reading.

You've got to line them up. First learn the bass part, then learn the vocals (reversing the order at this stage is permissable). Once you know them on their own, tackle the song at no fixed tempo, but making sure that the "landmarks" are together. Certain notes in the bassline need to happen at certain times in the vocal line, and if you can sing these together, you're halfway there. Once you know how the puzzle fits together, you can bring it up to tempo.
