I've only been playing about 6 mos., so it's no big deal, but I'm kinda excited about it. It's the first riff I've made up on my own. It sounds kinda neat. It goes like this: 4/4 time, all 1/4 notes. Like a walking feel, no open strings (I believe it's in first position):

GCEC

ADFD

BEGE

ADFD

GCEC

Repeat ad infinitum.

It doesn't really accompany anything, just a little ditty I made up. Thought I'd share. What d'ya think?

They are all arpeggios (presumably) and the op states all 1/4 notes in common time.

Edit: Just realized it would sound cool with a light calypso groove; I suggest you try it (never too soon to work on latin rhythms).

They are all arpeggios of these chords

EDIT: Why? Because:

GCEC - g is the fifth in the C-chord, c is the bottom note of the chord (sorry if this is not correctly said in English, kind of directly translated from Norwegian, but I hope you get the point.) and e is the third in the chord. e being a major third from the c making it a C-major chord

ADFD - the same as the first one. a the fifth, d the bottom note, f the third. f being a minor third from the d making it a D-minor chord.

BEGE - and again. b the fifht, e the bottom note and g the third. f being a minor third from the d making it a D-minor chord.

Just been messing around with it and realized that it melodically has a lot in common with Love Me Tender by Elvis.
