.What part of the thumb do you use to slap with? Until recently I was using pretty much the bone between the tip of my thumb and the rest of it- as it gave me a good solid tone. After a slightly session a few weeks ago it has occurred to me that this might not be the way forward-up to a couple of days ago I was even wondering i'd caused permanent damage to the join.
So I was wondering if I was doing something totally wrong- and if so what part of the thumb it is other people use?

cheers,
Tom.

I use the bone at the joint too. Slapping shouldn't involve very much force at all so it won't cause damage.
