Large Picks

Is there a manufacturer that makes extra large picks?

I just played a gig tonight with standard dunlop tortex picks and i
was having the damndest time holding onto the picks.

I'm trying to rock out, and its hard when i have to concentrate so hard on not dropping picks.

anyone have any advice on the matter?

Why are you dropping the picks?

Are you saying that you hit the strings so hard that the pick slips out of your fingers?

Maybe it's not the pick size? Check out the following:

Many companies make triangular picks. They make Dunlop Tortex picks in that size. That might suit you. I like to use them because you can use any edge of the pick, but I don't use picks that often.

But it seems to me that it isn't a size problem but a grip and technique problem. I get the same problem, but that's mostly because I don't use a pick very often on bass.

There are some companies that make a pick with a standard thickness edge, but big holding area with a recess for the finger and thumb.
