Learning Pick after years fingers: resources?

Sign in to disble this ad
after 20 odd years of finger playing, I would like to learn proper plectrum technique. Does anybody know of a good resource? Books, web pages , TB posts whatever..

I'd prefer especially examples with illustrations photos ...Verbal descriptions are usually too vague for me.

I'm interested in proper (ergonomic) grip and motion, muting the unplayed strings and exercises to promot such things.

And yes, I did a Forum search already.

Take a beginner guitar class. Get you up to speed real fast.

Yes, the use is a bit different on the bass as a guitar doesn't have to mute strings with the same precision that a bass does, but in general the knowledge will be useful.

Carol Kaye has a good book on that sort of thing. I'm not sure if it's in print anymore however.
