Left Hand Fretting Problem?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering if im going something wrong, but I am unsure. First off i have been without an amp for awhile so i just play without it, but my question is that i get a buzzing noise alot when i hit soem frets and is that bad form or should i be pushing down harder or doing something different?

Could be a few things.

Your fretting hand could not be pushing down the frets hard enough like you said.

You could be playing pretty hard with your right hand so you can hear yourself (like I do without an amp) and causing alot of buzzing that way.

It could be the setup of the bass. Strings too close to the neck or something like that.

Most likely it's the 2nd one. A few others might chime in and give you some good ideas too.
