Hi, it's me... again.

I was trying john the fisherman of primus (crazy guy... not nly his music but appearence too :P)

and its almost "all powerchords" song wich isnt that hard to play BUT!, my thumb of me fretting hand gets painfull real quick.
is this probably because my angle is off (of thumb against the backside of the fretboard)
or is this due to low musclulair "stuff"? I dont really have problems with my thumb in other songs so i gues its my technique that sucks.
so,.... how should i possition my palm/backhand of my fretting hand?

and another question, the way claypool hits his strings in the john the fisherman clip/live preformances... has it got a name? or is it just... "hit string"

greetings from a lonely bassist somewhere on a farm like place in holland
