left wrist pains

my left wrist hurts so bad! i've been playing for close to ten years. ive used a jazz bass for most of that time. i stopped really playing for about a year and a half then i just started up again. im using a p-bass now and i am struggling really hard to find a good strap height and position for my bass, but i just cant seem to find one. it hurts my wrist really bad when i try to hit an F sharp on the E string and simultaneously hit the octave on the D string. the same thing goes when i try to do the F. the lower notes are really difficult for me to reach without bending my wrist. ive adjusted height and angle but i just cant seem to find a good position. what should i do? i fear im causing some real damage here.

Have you tried taking some vitamins for your joints?

Its the way your wrist is bending, its putting stress on the tendons. Try and move you bass so the low end is in a better position.
